Amanda Chastain, MA, CCC-SLP, COM

Pediatric Speech and Feeding Therapist, Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM), Certified TummyTime! TM Method Instructor, Certified Breath Coach

Amanda Chastain is an ASHA certified and Kentucky Licensed speech-language pathologist with specialization in the areas of orofacial myology and pediatric feeding. She is a board-certified orofacial myologist (COM®), a certified breath coach through Yoga Teacher's College, and a certified TummyTime! Method Instructor. She is the creator and instructor of Guided Oral Movements with Active Patterning (GOMAP) for infant and toddler feeding, co-instructor for both Understanding the Orofacial Complex (30-hour orofacial myology training), and myo-based mini modules for Growth & Collaboration with Kristie Gatto, MA, CCC-SLP, COM, and is a past president of the International Association of Orofacial Myology. Amanda also provides parent and professional coaching services in these areas of expertise. As the owner and director of Therapy Specialist Network, she dedicates her focus of practice to oral dysfunction from birth across the lifespan; including supporting families as their babies learn to feed and thrive. Her intervention programs are guided by an inclusive mindset that integrates airway health, sleep hygiene, brain & body connection, and optimal oral function as a guide to help patients and their families reach their full biologic potential. A focus on developing movement and rhythms that create synchronized body systems for peak wellness results in intervention programs that generate positive and lasting change. Happy. Healthy. Jenna Johnson, MCD, CCC-SLP

Pediatric Speech and Feeding Therapist, Orofacial Myologist (IAOM Certification Track), Certified TummyTime!™ Method Instructor

Jenna is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Kentucky specializing in early intervention treatments with specific interest and experience in feeding and oral dysphagia. Jenna has worked many years as a feeding therapist for all ages, specializing in motor, sensory, and behaviorally based pediatric feeding disorders, including transitions from g-tubes. Jenna also loves working with infants and mothers to obtain their breastfeeding goals and support them through their early feeding journey. Jenna is trained in identifying and treating tethered oral tissues as well as issues with TMJ and mouth breathing. Jenna enjoys working with children with delayed phonological awareness skills and difficulty with reading. Jenna is trained in the Orton Gillingham approach to reading and enjoys applying the multi-sensory approach to learning letters, letter sounds and reading.

THERAPIST

Heather Roach, OTR/L, CIMI

Occupational Therapist and Certified Infant Massage Instructor

Heather is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist in the state of Kentucky. She has over 20 years of experience with specialized training in pediatric feeding and additional training for medically complex cases and tube weaning. Heather is a certified infant massage instructor, teaching parents specific massage strategies to assist with optimizing regulation, digestion, motor skill development and strengthening parent’s bond with the infant. Manual therapy strategies, including Myofascial release and craniosacral fascial therapy, are utilized to help improve motor deficits and decrease tension patterns which may be impacting developmental skills (including crawling, sitting, rolling, and breast feeding). She utilizes multisensory and motor approaches to treating pediatric bowel and bladder challenges. Treatment plans are designed with a whole body approach, including motor skill development, as well as, sensory and emotional regulation.

Dana Matteson

Dana is our practice manager and completes all medical billing, intake, and assists with scheduling, communication, and timely documentation. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience with medical billing making initial intake, insurance authorizations, and pre-certifications as easy for families as possible. She is able to answer questions about billing, statements, and authorizations as well as help families with questions related to our areas of specialty. Our clinic is able to function well because she is masterfully handling all of these areas allowing our therapists to focus on outstanding patient care.
